Subject line says it all.  This mode is now on by default.  There should
be some explanation of its behavior, how to turn it off, etc.

In GNU Emacs 28.1 (build 2, x86_64-w64-mingw32)
 of 2022-04-21 built on AVALON

It's a mode that's documented in the normal ways, and (normal) people
seem to be able to turn it off when they want to, so it's not something
(normal) people frequently ask about.
