I tried this on Debian with Emacs 27:

(insert #x1d7ad)
=> 𝞭

I get this font, though:

    xfthb:-PfEd-Unifont Upper-normal-normal-normal-*-25-*-*-*-d-0-iso10646-1 (#x1BD6)

Are you still seeing these font glitches?
