head-n produce sometimes to much empty lines s.d.
One limiting for highest 2 lines (maximum) are forcing.

Thanks for the report, but I'm not quite sure what you are complaining
about.  We need more details as to what you are trying to do, and why
what happened didn't match what you wanted.  For example, what is the
value of $zZ in the instance of the 'head' run that didn't behave the
way you expected?  Is this part of a bigger script?  Could the bug be
elsewhere in your script, rather than in the behavior of head?

In bug#8994 now merged with 8993:

Are you still having a problem with the head command?  A few weeks
have passed without further report.  The above information does not
show us any problems.
