Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
This bug report will be sent to the Free Software Foundation,
not to your local site managers!
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs <at> gnu.org mailing list,
and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give
a recipe starting from `emacs -Q':
I inserted a file in a message using C-x i FILENAME RET,
then typed C-x C-x to get to the end of it.
Then I saw an excess blank line, so I went there and typed
C-d to delete it. It deleted the whole region.
This behavior is horrible, as I reported when I tried it.
If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
For information about debugging Emacs, please read the file
/home/rms/emacs-bzr/trunk/etc/DEBUG.

FWIW, I and some others agreed that this is a misfeature.
Maybe not "horrible", but not very helpful.
Merged 7235 7260.
