Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
1. NEWS says:
"It also accepts a new value, `lazy', which means to only set the
primary selection for temporarily active regions (usually made by
mouse-dragging or shift-selection)."
That's not supported in Customize.
2. NEWS should indicate what has *changed* since the previous Emacs
version. What is the behavior change or value change wrt
`select-active-region'?
In GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
of 2010-09-20 on 3249CTO
Windowing system distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 5.1.2600
configured using `configure --with-gcc (4.4) --no-opt --cflags

The text in NEWS was in error: the new value is `only', which _is_
supported in Customize. I fixed the NEWS entry.

The entry says:
*** `select-active-regions' now defaults to t, so active regions set
the primary selection.
I think "so active regions set the primary selection" describes the
behavior change. If you meant something else, please clarify.
Otherwise, we can close this bug report.
