I'm not a Magit user, hence the question: Does Magit use a special mode
for writing commit logs, like `log-edit-mode'?  Maybe we can put that
entry somewhere else in .dir-locals.el, next to

  (vc-git-log-edit-summary-target-len . 50)

or something like that.
