Possibly two aspects of the same underlying issue. BTW, i think it is
related to the interaction of (from the 100824 commit):

	+*** `x-select-enable-clipboard' now defaults to t.


and, under ns-emacs:

(describe-variable 'x-select-enable-clipboard)
x-select-enable-clipboard is a variable defined in `C source code'.
It is void as a variable.
