Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

Before upgrading my kernel, display-battery-mode was showing the
battery status in my mode line. With current kernel it doesn't show. 

battery.el requires /proc/acpi/battery to detect acpi support but
newer kernels does not have this file and battery-status-function
variable becomes nil. I asked this to Debian Testing mailing list and
they replied that aforementioned file does not exist in newer kernels
and battery.el should be upgraded. 

If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/share/emacs/22.2/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
