Sorry about this, it just wasn't clear to me how people are supposed
to use the bug tracker. I'm not used to accessing bug trackers by
e-mail.

How about this (for region-end):
"Returns point or mark, whichever is larger.
The returned value is the position of the end of the region as an integer."
...and likewise for region-beginning.
