Start with the given text inside a CC Mode buffer with
electric-pair-mode enabled:

}

Go to the line immediately after "window = id_private_fetch ();", and
then press the following keys: i f SPC ( ! w i n d o w C-e.

"window" will become fontified as a type.  This may take several tries
to reproduce.
