[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hi all,

when I visit the following link:

  https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/transient.html

I see this:
[webpage.png (image/png, inline)]
[Message part 3 (text/plain, inline)]
Hitting the link

HTML - with one web page per node

returns

  404 - Page Not Found.

The link to the monolitic version works.

Best, Arash

It looks like it's been updated manually, and not completely
successfully.

Making the manuals hangs for me:

[larsi <at> stories ~/src/emacs/28.2]$ ./admin/make-manuals
Making manuals (slow)...
Adding compressed html files...
Making manual tarfiles...
Doing emacs...
...created emacs-manual-29.0.50.tar
Doing lispref...
...created emacs-lispref-29.0.50.tar
Doing lispintro...
...created emacs-lispintro-29.0.50.tar
Doing misc...
...created emacs-misc-29.0.50.tar
Making refcards...

I guess what should be done is run that successfully and then run
admin/upload-manuals? Eli, can you have a look at that?

I think Stefan (CC'ed) prepared the manuals this time.

It doesn't hang here, with a freshly unpacked 28.2 tarball:

~/wip/emacs-manuals/emacs-28.2 $ ./admin/make-manuals
Making manuals (slow)...
Adding compressed html files...
Making manual tarfiles...
Doing emacs...
...created emacs-manual-28.2.tar
Doing lispref...
...created emacs-lispref-28.2.tar
Doing lispintro...
...created emacs-lispintro-28.2.tar
Doing misc...
...created emacs-misc-28.2.tar
Making refcards...
Adding compressed info files...
Finished OK, you might want to run upload-manuals now

That's what I did after the Emacs 28.2 release. I don't know why it
wasn't successful.

Perhaps there's some manual intervention needed when adding new manuals?
The www/emacs/manual/html_node/transient directory doesn't exist...

manual/transient.html seems to have been added manually (by Eli), but I
don't know how those top-level files are made.

It should be fixed now. I guess we're just waiting for the changes to
sync from CVS.

Meanwhile, I'm looking over the other manuals while I'm at it.

Yup; got the transient dir when I did a "cvs up -d" now. The
manual/transient.html file is still wrong, though -- it talks about the
eww manual instead of the transient manual. Perhaps that file is only
edited manually?

Never mind -- I must have been standing in the wrong directory when I
did the "cvs up". It's fine now.

I fixed that five minutes ago, so you probably updated just before that.
