Hey, I never said I want to send anything. I'm talking about just

As you can see, those characters are so terrible, they deserve their own

If you get raw bytes in your Gnus messages, that usually means that
you're decoding the message incorrectly. Removing the characters in the
128-255 rarely, in my experience, leads to a material improvement in the
message itself.
If this is a problem you encounter often, then writing a command that
removes these characters should be easy enough.
