Now do:

C-x C-f test.tex RET

Note the crazy change in horizontal frame size.  If you switch between
this and other buffers, things crazier because horizontal frame size
keeps shrinking.

If `(outline-minor-mode 1' is removed, then horizontal frame size stays
sane.  I isolated the problem with outline-minor-mode, but it also
occurs in other modes that insert menu items.



If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
