$ emacs x.sh
bla <<< bla bla
is *super* hard to type in,
because this mode was built before <<< was invented.
So upon '<<' an explosion occurs (boom :-)) to the line, and EOF is inserted.
So to get that third <, one has to mop up a lot more.

So what do I suggest?
Disarm the <<.
Sure, still highlight EOF to EOF areas, but don't magically do knee-jerk
insertions upon <<.
