Sorry for not responding to this bugreport earlier.
It is most likely the same issue as https://issues.guix.gnu.org/36508 https://issues.guix.gnu.org/36508 .

Running this would most likely fix it for now, provided you have the gdm service installed.

sudo chmod -R gdm:gdm /var/lib/gdm
