Put the following objc method declaration¹ in an objc-mode buffer:

    - (DDMathStringToken *)_parseNumberWithError:(NSError **)error;

You can see _parseNumberWithError not highlighted in
font-lock-function-name-face. This may be due to c-symbol-start not
containing _.
