Hello,
I noticed this error today when running tail on a web server log
(residing on the aufs filesystem)

tail: unrecognized file system type 0x61756673 for
`/var/log/lighttpd/access.log'. please report this to
bug-coreutils <at> gnu.org. reverting to polling

I built aufs3 from the latest repoistory:
http://aufs.sourceforge.net/

I am currently running linux kernel 3.2.14 and 3.3.5 on x86_64

If I can provide any more information please contact me.

Brett

Thank you for that report. This was also reported just yesterday.
You can read the discussion and resolution here:

The fix will be in the upcoming coreutils-8.18 release.
