		rehello,
	That's ok, my problem come from new line.
	echo "è" | base64 
is:
	"è\n" | base64 
and:	echo -n "è" | base64 works better.

base64 (GNU coreutils) 8.5

Glad to hear you figured it out, and that it is not a bug.  I'm closing
this report.

As a side note, 'echo -n' is not portable.  You should really get in the
habit of using 'printf' instead.
