I'd advise you to install the latest version 1.11.2 instead (or wait
a few more days and install the soon-to-appear 1.11.3 version).

I've tried to run the test case with both automake 1.11 and with the
development version of automake, but couldn't reproduce the bug.  Can
you reproduce it consistently?  Or does the failure appears racily?
