I think you mean if those missing mails show up there.  No, they don't
show up in both of those buffers.

I also have a buffer named *nnimap imap.web.de nil  *nntpd**<2> with
this content:

* 10 EXISTS.
* 2 RECENT.
* FLAGS (%Answered %Flagged %Deleted %Seen %Draft).
* OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (%Answered %Flagged %Draft %Deleted %Seen %*)] Unlimited.
