Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing list. Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: On Debian, with sources fetched at 07:10 EDT, bootstrapping crashes trying to compile bytecomp.el. I ran bootstrap-emacs under GDB with no arguments; it crashed in malloc_set_state. If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file /home/rms/emacs-cvs/etc/DEBUG for instructions. Even stranger, that was present since 1998 (if not before), and never caused any trouble until the beginning of the year. Please close this bug report.
