Message #5 received at submit <at> debbugs.gnu.org (full text, mbox):
I just found this setting which I _almost_ love. The only problem with
it is that when there's no attribution line for each and every cited
section some of them disappear altogether, which can make it very
confusing to read. I'd like it if I could always show at least one
line, say, with an ellipsis to show that there's more.

Do you have an example?

Right now, no [I've switched to using `gnus-treat-hide-citation' instead
because it has semantics closer to what I want.] I have seen numerous
ones of the following form:
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---

There was nothing indicating the presence of a citation after the first
one.

Do you have an example of a message that the commands hides improperly?

No, I'm afraid I don't have anything I can reproduce anymore. Might as
well close this one; sorry for the noise.

Belay that order! I have found an example for you, which I'll send to
you directly because I'd like to get the other correspondent's
permission before I make it completely public.

Did you see the bug with -maybe or without?

With -maybe. `gnus-treat-hide-citation-maybe' was t and
`gnus-treat-hide-citation' was nil.

It's been a year since this. :-) Did you get the text that made the
bug reproducible?

Yes, as noted in the thread I sent it to you privately because other
correspondents were involved. I'll send it again.

I've now altered the -maybe function to use the non-maybe hiding logic.
