Thanks, but that is true of many --help/man option descriptions.
That is why at the end of every man page you find a pointer to
the "full documentation":

    info coreutils ...

       --sort=WORD
              sort according to WORD: general-numeric  -g,  human-numeric  -h,
              month -M, numeric -n, random -R, version -V

is not going to be understood by the beginner. Sorry.

Only the Info page makes it clear what you are trying to say in this paragraph.
