The point is that IMHO it's not worth the trouble to try to force server.el to duplicate the behavior of "emacs xxx yyy zzz..." because that behavior depends on several factors. There are already several variables (server-window, server-visit-hook, server-switch-hook, etc.) that can be used to adapt server.el to specific needs. =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Juanma From unknown Wed Jun 18 00:30:04 2025 MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: MIME-tools 5.427 (Entity 5.427) X-Loop: help-debbugs@gnu.org From: help-debbugs@gnu.org (GNU bug Tracking System) To: jidanni@jidanni.org Subject: bug#8984: closed (Re: bug#8984: second emacsclient file argument ends up in buried buffer) Message-ID: References: <87box6j2ev.fsf@jidanni.org> <87aacx1ymb.fsf@jidanni.org> X-Gnu-PR-Message: they-closed 8984 X-Gnu-PR-Package: emacs Reply-To: 8984@debbugs.gnu.org Date: Thu, 07 Jul 2011 01:39:02 +0000 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="----------=_1310002742-15569-1" This is a multi-part message in MIME format... ------------=_1310002742-15569-1 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Your bug report #8984: second emacsclient file argument ends up in buried buffer which was filed against the emacs package, has been closed. One would instead expect them both to be visible. Well at least the emacsclient man page should document what will happen. I'm trying to say $ emacsclient ... ... should act the same as $ emacs ... ... in how the files end up displayed. ------------=_1310002742-15569-1--
