Subject: bug#8629: Windows key + L is always sent to Win7
Date: Fri, 6 May 2011 02:56:19 +0200
This is a note about a problem with catching the windows key+L on win7 (w32).

I have previously told that a low level keyboard hook must be used to
use the windows key as Emacs META. This still seems to work on win7,
but I have found one exception: Windows key+L will lock the computer
even with a low level keyboard hook.

A workaround is to use Shift + Windows key+L.

Note: This is probably a design decision for win7. (It could be
possible to change with win7 registry setting, but this is not
something to do in a regular installation of Emacs of course.)
