Uhm, the actual issue is exactly the same as originally described.

C-h f debug

  Enter debugger.  To return, type 
  Uses keymap "debugger-mode-map", which is not currently defined.
  `M-x debugger-continue'.

Do you think this looks right? Because I don't.
