This one makes me think of bugs 7348 and 8020.  Can you please tell
us whether Eli's fix

   xdisp.c (redisplay_internal): Resynchronize `w' if the selected
   window is changed inside calls to do_pending_window_change.

is already included in that version of Emacs?
