Hello the go team,

our queue of merge requests has gone down quite a bit, so this might
not be as far away as one could fear. Please communicate on the state of
the branch, in particular if it needs postponing.

After the emacs-team branch, I have rebased on commit
ced31f8dd156e4202a2c7115fc003608a541388c
