I'm sorry that no one got back to you on this. We are currently
pretesting Emacs 24, where IIRC there are several pretesters who have
compiled on Solaris 10 successfully.
Since this part of the make process has been significantly revamped in
Emacs 24, I am going to close the bug. If you can, please try the
latest pretest tarball at
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/pretest/
and see if that works for you.
