The bug can also be reproduced by using the following queries:

https://issues.guix.gnu.org/search?query=AND
https://issues.guix.gnu.org/search?query=OR
https://issues.guix.gnu.org/search?query=NOT
etc.

I believe the root cause lies in the parse-query procedure within the
guile-xapian package, specifically in the (xapian xapian) module.
