It's _query_replace, so you need to confirm each replacement, e.g., by
pressing SPC.

If q67 is present somewhere in the buffer, it will offer to replace,
and if you type SPC, it will replace (and move to the next match, if
any).  If there's no q67 in the buffer, it will immediately say
"Replaced 0 occurrences" and replace nothing.

Ah, this explains why it doesn't work in Firefox.

Could please type 'C-h l' afterwards to see what keys/events were emitted.
I guess some unhandled event doesn't exist in 'query-replace-map',
so it quits 'query-replace'.

So this is on Android or something?  And the "disappearing keyboard"
is the soft keyboard used on mobile devices?  If so, perhaps Po Lu
could help us out?
