(Apologies for not following this thread.)

If this is about Emacs claiming/suggesting
that something is trusted or untrusted, I'd
say we're better off saying only that Emacs
CANNOT vouch for the thing to be trusted.

That's better than claiming that something
can't be trusted.  And it's _much_ better
than claiming that something _can_ be trusted.
