Where to place the cursor in when the differentiation is at front

Here it would seem better to put the cursor at the beginning of
"/Makefile", not the end of it,

That way the user wouldn't need to do C-a before entering the
differentiating character.

I think that would be pretty confusing.  It's better to stay consistent,
or users will be even more surprised.

I'm therefore closing this bug report.
