Could you, please, show the contents of the
*tramp/ssh root <at> webmaster <at> casanovawebdesign.com* buffer?

You could also set tramp-verbose to 6 bofore the test, and show
*debug tramp/ssh root <at> webmaster <at> casanovawebdesign.com*
