Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers usually do not have translators to read other languages for them. Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list, and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group. Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give a recipe starting from `emacs -Q': With Epa Mail mode, after C-c C-e d, the buffer with the decrypted message seems to be in Info mode. That is not helpful. mailcrypt-decrypt puts the decrypted buffer in Rmail mode (at least when coming from Rmail mode), and that's what Epa Mail mode should do. Ideally it should use whatever mode the user was using for the buffer that has the message, and it should copy the parts of the buffer that didn't need decryption. If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. For information about debugging Emacs, please read the file /home/rms/emacs-bzr/trunk/etc/DEBUG. Thanks for the recipe. I'm getting a different result -- after answering `n' to the question Replace the original text? (y or n) I get a buffer called " *Temp*" which is, indeed, in a buffer that say's it's Info mode. Looking at the code, it's: (defun epa-decrypt-region (start end &optional make-buffer-function) "Decrypt the current region between START and END. [...] (with-output-to-temp-buffer "*Temp*" (set-buffer standard-output) (insert plain) (epa-info-mode)))) And that mode is: (define-derived-mode epa-info-mode special-mode "Info" "Major mode for `epa-info-buffer'." (buffer-disable-undo) (setq truncate-lines t buffer-read-only t)) So I think the fix here is just to change the lighter to "EPA Info" to avoid this confusion. I'm doing that and closing this bug report. --=20 (domestic pets only, the antidote for overdose, milk.) bloggy blog: http://lars.ingebrigtsen.no From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Fri Sep 27 11:48:42 2019 Received: (at control) by debbugs.gnu.org; 27 Sep 2019 15:48:42 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:48483 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1iDsU5-0008Ei-Op for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Fri, 27 Sep 2019 11:48:41 -0400 Received: from quimby.gnus.org ([80.91.231.51]:34312) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1iDsU4-0008EZ-Sr for control@debbugs.gnu.org; Fri, 27 Sep 2019 11:48:41 -0400 Received: from cm-84.212.202.86.getinternet.no ([84.212.202.86] helo=marnie) by quimby.gnus.org with esmtpsa (TLS1.2:ECDHE_RSA_AES_256_GCM_SHA384:256) (Exim 4.89) (envelope-from ) id 1iDsU2-0003KP-3q for control@debbugs.gnu.org; Fri, 27 Sep 2019 17:48:40 +0200 Date: Fri, 27 Sep 2019 17:48:37 +0200 Message-Id: <87ftkhkaei.fsf@gnus.org> To: control@debbugs.gnu.org From: Lars Ingebrigtsen Subject: control message for bug #7287 X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "quimby.gnus.org", has NOT identified this incoming email as spam.
