HI,

I just wanted to know what the situation with this is.

My use-case is I'm using org-mode on different OSes with Emacs packaged 
versions.

To have the same environment, I currently upgrade it manually with M-x 
p-l-p to the current elpa version. Would be nice to be able to automate 
this in my .emacs.d/init.el
