24.0.50; gnus does not connect to IMAP server

To add a comment to this bug, you must first unarchive it, by sending
a message to control AT debbugs.gnu.org, with unarchive 7108 in the body.
You can then email your comments to 7108 AT debbugs.gnu.org in the normal way.

Toggle the display of automated, internal messages from the tracker.

 This configuration setup

(setq gnus-select-method
      '(nnimap "gmail"
               (nnimap-address "imap.gmail.com")
               (nnimap-stream ssl)
               (nnimap-server-port 993)
               (nnimap-authinfo-file "~/.emacs.d/.authinfo")))

(setq imap-ssl-program "openssl.exe s_client -ssl3 -quiet -connect %s:%p")

works fine in 23.2 to connect to Gmail, but does not work in 24.0.50
(rev 10163).

*Message* buffer output:
Opening TLS connection to `imap.gmail.com'...
Opening TLS connection with `gnutls-cli -p 993 imap.gmail.com'...done
Opening TLS connection to `imap.gmail.com'...done

Unable to open server nnimap+gmail (), go offline? (y or n)  n

On 23.2 it connects fine using openssl (provided by cygwin).

Well...I just updated and rev 101624 actually seems to fix something.

It does however NOT use openssl to connect.

Commenting out

(setq imap-ssl-program "openssl.exe s_client -ssl3 -quiet -connect %s:%p")

and it still works, which is nice, but it seems something is still wrong 
with openssl support.

I think you need to set tls-program.

This variable is no longer used.  This is now controlled by
`tls-program'.
