Since Drew uses precompiled binaries from a few days ago, I'm guessing that this is due to the problems with Tramp loaddefs, which was fixed by Juanma. Or maybe some other similar problem. With the plethora of methods used by Tramp, you can never know: maybe the bug is in some method that isn't run on my machine (although I did try using the `plink' method directly as well).
