This is what I see for inline math with the patch installed.  This is
with the new custom option set to nil:
[nil.png (image/png, inline)]
[Message part 3 (text/plain, inline)]
And this with t:
[t.png (image/png, inline)]
[Message part 5 (text/plain, inline)]
So basically, the TeX icon was replaced.
