So here is the top of my window (themed with ef-summer) in neutral
state:

[Message part 3 (text/plain, inline)]
The same space flashed with current code:
[themed-flash-current.png (image/png, inline)]
[Message part 5 (text/plain, inline)]
Same but flashed with this patch:
[themed-flash-invert.png (image/png, inline)]
[Message part 7 (text/plain, inline)]
Note that this much less of a trouble with no theme and black on white:
