Thanks, but:
I applied the patch, recompiled, restarted emacs, and then
\begin{equation*}
g = \begin{pmatrix}
a & b \\
c & d \\
\end{pmatrix},
\quad
h = \begin{pmatrix}
x & y \\
z & w \\
\end{pmatrix}.
\end{equation*}
Either with
1. LaTeX-indent-always-align-end-with-begin nil
2. LaTeX-indent-always-align-end-with-begin t
Is filled as
\begin{equation*}
g = \begin{pmatrix}
a & b \\
c & d \\
\end{pmatrix}, \quad h = \begin{pmatrix}
x & y \\
z & w \\
\end{pmatrix}.
\end{equation*}
That does not look correct to me, sorry the \begin{matrix} should be on
a newline.
Is this a bug?
