Hello,

I put (save-place-mode 1) in my init.el, but it does not
work. Additionally, when enabling it via options -> save place in files
between sessions, it enables, but then is disabled again upon closing
and relaunching emacs.

GNU Emacs 29.0.92 (build 1, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version
3.24.38, cairo version 1.17.8) of 2023-07-14 built on localhost

Please disregard my bug report. I made a noob mistake of trying to load a config file when there was still a .emacs file that needed to be removed. save-place-mode works fine now :)
