Yeah, it's probably time to remove it.

Don't forget to also remove this part in (info "(elisp) Waiting"):

     It is also possible to call ‘sit-for’ with three arguments, as
     ‘(sit-for SECONDS MILLISEC NODISP)’, but that is considered
     obsolete.
