If the ::unsupported:: is returned=20 from ${tool}-dg-test, these markers emit a FAIL, since the output does=20 not contain their wanted errors. If the ::unsupported:: is returned from=20 ${tool}-dg-prune, these markers are processed as normal, which can=20 sometimes PASS due to compiler resumption, but can also FAIL. Please confirm that it resolves this issue. The preliminary patch works by storing the result of message processing before calling ${tool}-dg-prune and discarding the stored results instead of reporting them to the framework if ${tool}-dg-prune indicates to abort the test. The descriptions given were sufficient that I was able avoid examining the offered test case and thus avoid needing associated copyright paperwork. Somewhat amusingly, the additional tests included bring the total number of tests across all tools in a run of DejaGnu's internal testsuite to 666. While I would enjoy tweaking superstitious people by making a release like this, unfortunately there are still quite a few other items on the checklist for 1.6.4, so there will probably be more tests added before the release. -- Jacob From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Wed Oct 05 16:32:48 2022 Received: (at 58065) by debbugs.gnu.org; 5 Oct 2022 20:32:48 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:58187 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1ogB4Q-00032u-Tm for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 05 Oct 2022 16:32:48 -0400 Received: from mout-p-101.mailbox.org ([80.241.56.151]:57764) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1og9ZK-0000Rr-87 for 58065@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 05 Oct 2022 14:56:35 -0400 Received: from smtp102.mailbox.org (smtp102.mailbox.org [IPv6:2001:67c:2050:b231:465::102]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange ECDHE (P-384) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256) (No client certificate requested) by mout-p-101.mailbox.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4MjP1M40YDz9sWL; Wed, 5 Oct 2022 20:56:23 +0200 (CEST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=aarsen.me; s=MBO0001; t=1664996183; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: in-reply-to:in-reply-to:references:references; bh=KC5L2wzv5KYAvJ/X/ZuEEcx6ySY9vkmPKZSYM5IdAVQ=; b=JfDOXyU7kJuhaA+ujb3oJEqZzRa7f45zPpuglPe3YtWY1ykOl6I3+26apfHEJEFXBgi3WR 2+jPp74gE+4zfJpEB5jdZJUc3ZS0GYp42j6tRTwky8TMQPnjPsceL2inqjgB7kY7v5Cf5J uJMSyCdWcuNr4D9keE+Br+JP3x3xkTTUlrAfF6kHV6/HFL5BToKCsUiwIEr+leXdeKAqDr WiETIV0Y2pxehoP3H23JuGMQk9k157fAogD6W68Rpls6bICY0Zwdz67BA5cqAE8HKZ0dzh oQe7sGcqdtAJ2+Vnrirko7G0rblBl08Nivzy2J+tEdy53M73+k4H33kxEwHa8A== From: Arsen =?utf-8?B?QXJzZW5vdmnEhw==?= To: jcb62281@gmail.com Subject: Re: bug#58065: UNSUPPORTED test cases still can FAIL Date: Wed, 05 Oct 2022 20:56:21 +0200 Message-ID: <4694637.nSEUAKyMFN@bstg> In-Reply-To: <633CFA85.9010104@gmail.com> References: <4133949.4h97eoO352@bstg> <633CFA85.9010104@gmail.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; boundary="nextPart5206456.HVnZA1EvFF"; micalg="pgp-sha512"; protocol="application/pgp-signature" X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4MjP1M40YDz9sWL X-Spam-Score: -0.7 (/) X-Debbugs-Envelope-To: 58065 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Wed, 05 Oct 2022 16:32:45 -0400 Cc: 58065@debbugs.gnu.org X-BeenThere: debbugs-submit@debbugs.gnu.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Errors-To: debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Sender: "Debbugs-submit" X-Spam-Score: -1.7 (-) --nextPart5206456.HVnZA1EvFF Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"; protected-headers="v1" From: Arsen =?utf-8?B?QXJzZW5vdmnEhw==?= To: jcb62281@gmail.com Cc: 58065@debbugs.gnu.org Subject: Re: bug#58065: UNSUPPORTED test cases still can FAIL Date: Wed, 05 Oct 2022 20:55:52 +0200 Message-ID: <4694637.nSEUAKyMFN@bstg> In-Reply-To: <633CFA85.9010104@gmail.com> References: <4133949.4h97eoO352@bstg> <633CFA85.9010104@gmail.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Hi, On Wednesday, 5 October 2022 05:31:17 CEST Jacob Bachmeyer wrote: > A preliminary patch has been pushed on the PR58065 branch at Savannah. > Please confirm that it resolves this issue.
