    Emacs byte compilation now respects silent build rules (e.g. make V=0).
    i.e. use AM_V_GEN to show this instead
      GEN      bar.elc

Emacs byte compilation now respects silent build rules (e.g. make V=0).

i.e. use AM_V_GEN to show this instead
