[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hi,

When I tried to use the graphical installer on the latest installation iso,
and followed the process as normal (I did not edit the config file by
hand), I got the result in bug.jpeg. The other image shows the result of
running "guix system init /mnt/etc/config.scm /mnt --set-verbosity=5" once
the graphical installer shows me the config file it is going to use after
following the rest of the steps.

I am installing on a Lenovo Ideapad whose wifi card cannot be detected, so
I've connected the computer using a USB cable to an internet dongle.

Thanks,

Imran

Hello,

Thanks for the report. This looks like to be a manifestation of
https://issues.guix.gnu.org/56005 within the installer.

Mathieu

Hi Mathieu and imran,

Let me add that the `guix system init` call that is part of the
installer is the only thing not covered by the dumping mechanism we
added, leading to such a raw backtrace without any bells and
whistles. Maybe we could improve that part.

Also, I'm currently quite busy with IRL matters so I don't think I will
be generally available until the end of August.

Best,

Hi,

Actually, when I ran the `guix system init` command from the command line,
it seems that it was just a network error on my part, so when it
stopped working, I was able to just run the command again and pick up where
I left off.

Thanks,

Imran
