Thanks.  I trust your code works, so I have 2 minor comments.

I think this makes sense.  AFAIK, Stefan M. looks after tex-mode.el, so
he can the review it.

I suggest to add 'Ref' and 'footref' as well which are part of LaTeX
kernel.
