Your bug report will be posted to the bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org mailing list, and to the gnu.emacs.bug news group. Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug and the precise symptoms of the bug: I tried "T E" (gnus-summary-expire-thread) in an nnml group. The thread disappeared from the summary buffer -- not quite what I expected, but reasonable enough. Then I left the group with "q" and re-entered it. The thread was still there. I expected all the messages in the thread to be expired. If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file /usr/share/emacs/23.1/etc/DEBUG for instructions. It is frequently merged to Emacs, and it seems more likely that a bug will get left open by mistake. ------------=_1273778462-18652-1 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Received: from mailman by lists.gnu.org with archive (Exim 4.43) id 1NQAxt-0003UR-1l for mharc-bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:40:41 -0500 Received: from mailman by lists.gnu.org with tmda-scanned (Exim 4.43) id 1NQAxs-0003UM-C4 for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:40:40 -0500 Received: from exim by lists.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.43) id 1NQAxi-0003St-HO for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:40:39 -0500 Received: from [199.232.76.173] (port=51044 helo=monty-python.gnu.org) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.43) id 1NQAxi-0003Sq-C8 for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:40:30 -0500 Received: from [140.186.70.43] (port=34201 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by monty-python.gnu.org with esmtps (TLS-1.0:RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:32) (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1NQAxh-0000QB-VO for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:40:30 -0500 Received: from Debian-debbugs by debbugs.gnu.org with local (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1NQAWD-0001Q7-Ei; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:12:05 -0500 X-Loop: bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org Mail-Followup-To: Tom Tromey , 5284@debbugs.gnu.org Resent-From: Tom Tromey Original-Sender: debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Resent-To: owner@debbugs.gnu.org Resent-CC: bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org Resent-Date: Thu, 31 Dec 2009 02:12:05 +0000 Resent-Message-ID: Resent-Sender: bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org X-Emacs-PR-Message: report 5284 X-Emacs-PR-Package: emacs X-Emacs-PR-Keywords: Received: via spool by submit@debbugs.gnu.org id=B.12622255155413 (code B ref -1); Thu, 31 Dec 2009 02:12:05 +0000 Received: (at submit) by debbugs.gnu.org; 31 Dec 2009 02:11:55 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1] helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1NQAW2-0001PB-O7 for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:11:55 -0500 Received: from fencepost.gnu.org ([140.186.70.10]) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1NPgfh-0001sO-LC for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:20:08 -0500 Received: from mail.gnu.org ([199.232.76.166]:39098 helo=mx10.gnu.org) by fencepost.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from ) id 1NPgfd-0000DL-8B for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:49 -0500 Received: from Debian-exim by monty-python.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1NPgfa-0005hp-40 for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:49 -0500 Received: from lists.gnu.org ([199.232.76.165]:52492) by monty-python.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1NPgfZ-0005hb-MQ for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:45 -0500 Received: from mailman by lists.gnu.org with tmda-scanned (Exim 4.43) id 1NPgfZ-0002kN-GG for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:45 -0500 Received: from exim by lists.gnu.org with spam-scanned (Exim 4.43) id 1NPgfV-0002j2-RN for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:45 -0500 Received: from [199.232.76.173] (port=34329 helo=monty-python.gnu.org) by lists.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.43) id 1NPgfV-0002is-O4 for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:41 -0500 Received: from mx1.redhat.com ([209.132.183.28]:5991) by monty-python.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.60) (envelope-from ) id 1NPgfV-0005gx-Bw for bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:41 -0500 Received: from int-mx03.intmail.prod.int.phx2.redhat.com (int-mx03.intmail.prod.int.phx2.redhat.com [10.5.11.16]) by mx1.redhat.com (8.13.8/8.13.8) with ESMTP id nBTIJeai015912 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=OK) for ; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:40 -0500 Received: from ns3.rdu.redhat.com (ns3.rdu.redhat.com [10.11.255.199]) by int-mx03.intmail.prod.int.phx2.redhat.com (8.13.8/8.13.8) with ESMTP id nBTIJdDa013305; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:39 -0500 Received: from opsy.redhat.com (ovpn01.gateway.prod.ext.phx2.redhat.com [10.5.9.1]) by ns3.rdu.redhat.com (8.13.8/8.13.8) with ESMTP id nBTIJchg026428; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 13:19:39 -0500 Received: by opsy.redhat.com (Postfix, from userid 500) id 6479B37822B; Tue, 29 Dec 2009 11:19:38 -0700 (MST) From: Tom Tromey To: bug-gnu-emacs@gnu.org X-Attribution: Tom Date: Tue, 29 Dec 2009 11:19:38 -0700 Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.67 on 10.5.11.16 X-detected-operating-system: by monty-python.gnu.org: Genre and OS details not recognized.
