Thanks. [1] I fat finger my keyboard quite a lot and end up garbling the file even after explicitly saving the buffer.=C2=A0 When I open the file in a ne= w Emacs session again, I get suggested to `recover-this-file' and 8/10 times, I have to undo.=C2=A0 Having a diff option directly in the prompt would save some keystrokes. If file is 465k and difference small with files, then I just see 2 files, one being "#file#" and other "file". That list presented as a choice for decision if to recover the file or not is not sufficiently informative. It gives me no information on why should I recover the file. Something more informative would be if Emacs would tell me which file is larger. Even better would be if I could be represented an option to quickly see the difference between the files. It would be useful with a command to show the diff directly from Emacs. This was previously discussed in: https://lists.gnu.org/r/emacs-devel/2022-10/msg00065.html ------------=_1702730282-16008-5--
