Hi, I'm facing a strange problem, if my org is compiled, org-open-at-point will always open the first link, no matter which link I select via org-offer-links-in-entry. If I delete the compiled file org-d208de9c-ca5ab453.eln, this issue gone temporary. Is there any way to permanently avoid this problem, or is this a bug of native-compile? Create an org file, e.g. /tmp/test.org. See end of this message for an example, but essentially any org file with a heading that contains multiple links somewhere within its contents. 2. Ensure that org.el is natively compiled 3. Run "emacs -Q" 4. "C-x C-f" to open the test file 5. Move point to beginning of the header 6. "C-c C-o 2" to open the second link 7. Bug occurs: first link is opened regardless of choice in the previous step Workaround: 1. Disable native comp for org.el in your early-init.el: (setq native-comp-deferred-compilation-deny-list (list (rx "org/org.el" string-end))) - Note: I think putting this early on in init.el would work too, so long as it is set before org.el is loaded? Not sure. 2. Delete the native-compiled version of org.el. Check native-comp-eln-load-path to determine the right directories, then in each one run something like: find the-eln-directory -name 'org-[0-9]*\.eln' -delete I'm not positive if both steps of the workaround are necessary or just one of them. --- Example contents for /tmp/test.org begin on the next line: * Heading - https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=51382 - https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/ From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Wed Oct 27 23:22:17 2021 Received: (at control) by debbugs.gnu.org; 28 Oct 2021 03:22:17 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:50983 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1mfvzd-0007MY-1m for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 27 Oct 2021 23:22:17 -0400 Received: from mail-pf1-f171.google.com ([209.85.210.171]:47032) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1mfvzV-0007Li-5X for control@debbugs.gnu.org; Wed, 27 Oct 2021 23:22:13 -0400 Received: by mail-pf1-f171.google.com with SMTP id x66so4610651pfx.13 for ; Wed, 27 Oct 2021 20:22:09 -0700 (PDT) X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20210112; h=x-gm-message-state:from:mime-version:date:message-id:subject:to; bh=75S6Shsu+KMh2UohYqNu/yhWX4oCyP+k5+qjhJ+5m9k=; b=FzFGMcMnhOk+XREEugIKGy6GhF0wJiTE9UPb4bnPE/cBwcD3+wcM7yY6J/wud7hwTJ mRUvSOKo4zW77U+YKiql423/YZzqxyZJK8/MsJxiVHls2u+uqIRDzSgFssTrQdJPfazv sl0K+NgICBVgVdIik1EXVRsGTwwwJwNB0EvKbI3wcKRBhZZN6DG7Q5CbufVWE2glP+d4 r5VMoEuUHg+2N0sPdJenCWWkJ/7HUeZX/9LkNxv9AHuE3ct97yte9D8XcR5u0wNFPZXi J+JHjfc6tJl2NrKtwWD3O8uV5zIBviQano0o0eFNWdua0tyAl08kq6qYJNfidtVzN8FI sKPQ== X-Gm-Message-State: AOAM530CjOhLAzsFfHTA/Qi6YK/pqnIq5fs7EkGTikSm3qDJTL6Unara qSEXjPL8YzbCV6TYnSD7di2kRL2uzH/ah52gixpnB1cR X-Google-Smtp-Source: ABdhPJzVa+QIh//8t2diz99cvuqkKD9wDNXMKta9yOibgV6oQNffxfBJPOhZ8Z6iDsq2uEGE+xFECt+0GYWEvs69mwo= X-Received: by 2002:a63:b958:: with SMTP id v24mr1321486pgo.114.1635391323532; Wed, 27 Oct 2021 20:22:03 -0700 (PDT) Received: from 753933720722 named unknown by gmailapi.google.com with HTTPREST; Wed, 27 Oct 2021 20:22:03 -0700 From: Stefan Kangas MIME-Version: 1.0 Date: Wed, 27 Oct 2021 20:22:03 -0700 Message-ID: Subject: control message for bug #51382 To: control@debbugs.gnu.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" X-Spam-Score: 0.5 (/) X-Debbugs-Envelope-To: control X-BeenThere: debbugs-submit@debbugs.gnu.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Errors-To: debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Sender: "Debbugs-submit" X-Spam-Score: -0.5 (/) tags 51382 - moreinfo quit From debbugs-submit-bounces@debbugs.gnu.org Tue Sep 13 12:06:00 2022 Received: (at 51382) by debbugs.gnu.org; 13 Sep 2022 16:06:01 +0000 Received: from localhost ([127.0.0.1]:52709 helo=debbugs.gnu.org) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1oY8QC-0007SD-LZ for submit@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 13 Sep 2022 12:06:00 -0400 Received: from quimby.gnus.org ([95.216.78.240]:38782) by debbugs.gnu.org with esmtp (Exim 4.84_2) (envelope-from ) id 1oY8QB-0007Rv-2M for 51382@debbugs.gnu.org; Tue, 13 Sep 2022 12:05:59 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gnus.org; s=20200322; h=Content-Type:MIME-Version:Message-ID:Date:References: In-Reply-To:Subject:Cc:To:From:Sender:Reply-To:Content-Transfer-Encoding: Content-ID:Content-Description:Resent-Date:Resent-From:Resent-Sender: Resent-To:Resent-Cc:Resent-Message-ID:List-Id:List-Help:List-Unsubscribe: List-Subscribe:List-Post:List-Owner:List-Archive; bh=3Pg5O7Tmh8fgw+ONeJW1A5lOeJKe9KOtRm5SWsPSMp0=; b=uQaDm+qxfiX4CTHXSoIq0Fqo5g 1Y0aPBEwHUjZ/8TyQ011LeL2erT82NRAapT5qaIpPGbzO294GQm+IkFcS3TpXJPDyahpr6HSCzpHB 0K6XHbZ69fagCAPI1jkASzJBE7daDdYhQYsf+VMoUvJWO3UyswET9iBMfMiPuqfW49aI=; Received: from [84.212.220.105] (helo=joga) by quimby.gnus.org with esmtpsa (TLS1.3:ECDHE_RSA_AES_256_GCM_SHA384:256) (Exim 4.92) (envelope-from ) id 1oY8Q0-0005XC-LN; Tue, 13 Sep 2022 18:05:51 +0200 From: Lars Ingebrigtsen To: Caleb Chase Subject: Re: bug#51382: 29.0.50; org-offer-links-in-entry is incompatible with native-compile In-Reply-To: (Caleb Chase's message of "Wed, 27 Oct 2021 10:13:49 -0500") References: <87a6ixzq6h.fsf@yahoo.com> X-Now-Playing: Jana Rush's _Pariah_: "Divine" Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2022 18:05:48 +0200 Message-ID: <87illrxns3.fsf@gnus.org> User-Agent: Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/29.0.50 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "quimby.gnus.org", has NOT identified this incoming email as spam.
